Mission
It is our aim to help senior level managers of hospitals, imaging centers and radiology practices maximize profitability of their radiology services and the efficiency of patient care issues. We accomplish this by providing a highly specialized level of management expertise. We also introduce proven business processes and install dedicated systems for monitoring radiology service performance.
MIS was formed with the intent to increase our customers’ autonomy by effectively managing their business concerns and allowing providers (hospitals, imaging centers, and physicians) to better focus on their patients and financial objectives. The professionals at MIS have served as hospital and radiology practice administrators, managers and owners of radiology departments and imaging centers, equipment representatives and entrepreneurs who have succeeded in their own businesses and are eager to assist you with all your radiology matters.

Our style of work is a hands-on attitude where we make every effort to help clients and employees succeed in all their endeavors. We look to build long-term partnerships with clients and employees and establish the proper incentive plans to attain all objectives. We feel we are more special and different than other companies that strictly look to maintain low costs and leverage relationships. Instead, we offer quality solutions to our customers and employees that cover a broad range of issues and solutions based on value and quality, not simply price.

Our Team
Arun Jethani, Chief Executive Officer, M.A.
Arun has broad entrepreneurial experience in both healthcare and human resources. Over the last eight years, Arun has helped start: 1) a radiology practice, 2) a Healthcare outsourcing company, and 3) a medical billing company. Prior to joining Medical Imaging Specialists, Arun was a founding member of The Radiology Group where he served as the CFO and Executive Vice President. The group was started with one physician and one hospital client and currently has over twenty physicians and 15 hospital clients. Prior to The Radiology Group, Arun worked as the Director of US operations of the Black Mountain group. Arun was a founding member of AtBalance Solutions where he was responsible for securing several Fortune 100 Clients in the pharmaceutical and financial industries. Prior to starting at AtBalance, he was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the strategic HR outsourcing division. He was a founding member of this division that now has over 200 employees and supports over 20 large employer clients including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Chevron, and Verizon. He is a graduate of Boston University where he received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics and an M.A. in Economics. Arun continues his business education with The Aji Network.

Timothy Stampp, MBA Founder and Chief of Corporate Development
Timothy has twenty one years of healthcare management experience and extensive domain expertise in dealing with the complex business issues surrounding the field of radiology in both the free standing and hospital based settings. In addition to having established numerous highly successful radiology service delivery programs, he has also been instrumental in the development of several strategic alignment initiatives between hospitals and radiology groups resulting in better service and greater revenues for both parties. Mr. Stampp has been involved with over 100 projects across the nation ranging from market assessments for new imaging service lines to developing strategic plans for large health system’s radiology services. As a manager, consultant and strategist, he assists clients by providing practical solutions for challenging circumstances across a broad spectrum of radiology applications with a focus on improving the value of radiology services.

Gene Walters RCM Advisor
Gene has twenty seven years of healthcare management experience with a demonstrated track record of exceptional fiscal management of hospital radiology services and free standing imaging centers. Mr. Walters has developed and continues to manage a multi-million dollar medical billing company and associated revenue cycle management programs ensuring the success of several free standing imaging center projects.

Zach Bauer, VP Operations
Zach is responsible for all management and operations within MIS. In addition to that, Zach leads the MIS Client Delivery Strategy Team, where his team focuses on delivering the Volume Generation, RCM, Imaging Center and Hospital Radiology Department Operations Management and Finance offerings for MIS. Zach has proven experience in developing strategies with clients that help them increase their imaging center, hospital radiology department and/or practice volumes on average by approximately 20%. Zach utilizes his extensive program and project portfolio management experience to design and execute important, useful and worthwhile strategies at a lower cost than clients were able to produce prior to practicing his strategies. Zach has worked for various Fortune 500 companies as an employee as well as a consultant, where he was accountable for Business Process Outsourcing, IT Strategy and Development, Supply Chain Management and Project Portfolio Management. Zach has a proven track record of managing with a philosophy of sincerity, trust and expertise. Zach’s strategic, yet pragmatic approach has produced a proven track record in many industries, including health care.

Bill Gurney, VP of Revenue Cycle Management
ill has 19 years of progressive management responsibilities in health care administration. For the past 8 years, Bill’s interest has been focused on the complex issues surrounding revenue cycle management in the radiology environment – both in the hospital based and free standing imaging center arenas. A graduate of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, Bill’s health care responsibilities were shaped and strengthened by 8 years of commercial banking experience while he managed the medical portfolio of a large national bank that is now owned by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Prior to his current role with MIS, Bill worked for an International Fortune 17 company, serving as an account manager for a high-level portfolio of accounts in the Southeast. Bill’s approach is based on executing the fundamentals while measuring the results…with customer service the top priority.
David Rushing RT(R), MR, Operations Manager
David has 17 years of medical imaging experience specializing in radiology program development, implementation and management. Mr. Rushing has successfully organized and managed several mobile MRI programs for hospitals, served as a hospital radiology department manager, managed a full service free standing imaging center, and is currently involved with several imaging center development and management activities. He has a demonstrated track record working with clients to build imaging services that provide high throughput, while conveying quality patient care and outstanding customer service. By combining his clinical background with subject matter expertise in radiology business operations, David helps our clients improve the quality of clinical operations and achieve greater profitability.

Nichole Bauer, Project Manager
Nichole has a background in both the medical and financial field. She has aided in the launching of new pharmaceutical products at Merck Pharmaceuticals, and has an abundance of experience working with medical professionals, since her time at Maxim Healthcare as a medical staffing recruiter. Nichole also has an extensive background in financial management, giving her the ability to plan and achieve goals and deadlines in an organized efficient manner.

Anju Giri, Project Manager
Anju has over 10 years of Consulting and Project Management experience. Prior to working for MIS, Anju worked for top consulting firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture and most recently at Mercer as a Senior Associate. Anju brings experience in Human Resource and Benefits/Payroll consulting for Pharmaceutical companies as well as leading process improvement projects for a diverse group of global clients in the Energy, Manufacturing and Retail areas. Anju’s diverse work background includes consulting at a Hospital providing them with Benefits and HR support. Anju’s experience and dedication working with multiple clients in various industries supports her strong ambition to ensure her clients are successful. In her spare time, Anju enjoys volunteering as a Project Coordinator for local school enrichment programs.

Maria Larsen, Project Manager
Maria Larsen is a Project Coordinator at MIS responsible for the management of project deliverables, risk and issues, with a strong focus on project visibility through detailed reporting. Maria has worked on projects in both the healthcare and business process outsourcing arenas. Maria obtained her BA from Stony Brook University and MA from Hofstra University.
