RADIOLOGY SERVICES STRATEGIC PLANNING

MIS has extensive domain expertise in navigating through the challenges and issues specific to radiology in both the hospital and free standing environment. Specifically, MIS can assist with the development and implementation of system wide initiatives specifically related to hospital based service lines including revenue opportunities, managing costs, appropriating technology, and establishing service excellence. These initiatives can be clearly defined in a radiology services strategic plan. Key elements of the plan include:

  • Identification and assessment of hospital based service revenue opportunities

• Establishment of service level benchmarks and associated pay
   for performance incentives

• Identification and assessment of medical staff requirements

• Identification and assessment of cost management programs    involving radiology workflow, tracking and monitoring systems,    inventory management, and cost accounting methodologies.

• Identification and assessment of a technology procurement plan

The figure below graphically depicts the strategic planning process.
